It has been announced this week that Google Maps will now be displaying electric vehicle charging stations on its iOS and Android mobile apps, making finding your nearest charge point even easier for drivers.

The update will allow users to search using keywords resulting in a list of the nearest supported charging stations, including the location, types and number of connections available, and charging speeds, along with the added bonus of being able to see uploaded content from other drivers. Similar to existing charging station map generators, this added feature with allow for photos, ratings and reviews to be added to the site.

Working with Google Maps helps deliver our vision of making electric vehicle driving easy and convenient, with drivers now being able to find information about POLAR effortlessly in even more places as we develop more and more partnerships to ensure dynamic live data is provided to multiple sources.

Please note that Google Maps will not currently be featuring the ability to see which charge points are being used on the network so make sure to still check the POLAR Live Map for up to date availability.
